Mike Tejano, PT, DPT

Clinical Director & Physical Therapist

Mike did his undergraduate work at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he studied psychology and exercise and sports science. During this time, he discovered his passion for helping others through physical therapy, while working as a physical therapy aide. He followed this passion, receiving his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Western University of Health Sciences, graduating with honors.

During his studies, Mike completed clinical rotations at Saddleback Memorial Hospital Inpatient/Outpatient Rehabilitation and Hoag Memorial Hospital Outpatient Rehabilitation. During these experiences, he worked closely with diverse populations including geriatrics, high-level athletes, and patients with serious medical conditions in the intensive care unit. He enjoys treating a wide variety of orthopedic and neurological conditions including sports injuries, post-stroke rehabilitation, and balance disorders.

With his free time, Mike enjoys being active and exploring the outdoors with his wife. His hobbies include water skiing, trail running, strength training, and soccer. He also enjoys furthering his knowledge and keeping up with the latest research and developments in the field of physical therapy. He takes great pride in educating his patients and developing a personalized treatment plans so that get his patients back to doing the things they love.

Jamie

Jamie Proffitt, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

Jamie graduated from Penn State with a degree in Biology and continued her education at the University of Southern California to receive her Doctor of Physical Therapy. As part of her graduate work, Jamie completed clinical rotations in inpatient oncology, along with outpatient pediatrics, neurology, and orthopedics.

Jamie develops goal driven treatment plans that incorporate all aspects of the patient’s life. Jamie creates a trusting relationship with her patients to ensure they receive the highest quality of care.

Outside of the clinic walls, Jamie is an endurance athlete participating in half marathons and triathlons. She loves to use her training days and events as ways to explore and experience new places. She volunteers for Ainsley’s Angels of America and always finds a way to get herself to the ocean!

Shiva

Shiva Aslanpoor, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

Shiva received both her bachelor's degree in physical therapy and master's degree in exercise physiology in Iran and continued her education in the US at Arcadia University in Glenside, PA to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.

Shiva has practiced for over thirteen years as a Physical Therapist with athletes, orthopedic, post-surgical, neurological, and hand rehabilitation cases. Her main passion has always been to improve the patients' quality of life. Outside of her career, she is interested in traveling, biking, jogging, and going to the movies. One fun fact about Shiva; she has a black belt in Taekwondo!

Heather

Heather Hunt, PTA

Physical Therapist

In 8th grade Heather decided that she wanted to pursue a career in physical therapy. This decision was influenced by her experience of growing up with two siblings with orthopedic problems. Often as a young child, she would watch her brother and sister go through surgeries. She was encouraged by the positive effects that physical therapy had on their conditions.

After high school she spent 5 years as a physical therapy aide, specifically in sports medicine and orthopedic clinics. She later received her degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant from Tarrant County College (Texas) in May 2013, one month after graduation she relocated to Southern California from Texas with her husband.

In her free time she enjoys cycling, going to the beach, watching movies with her husband and playing with her Yorkie.

Nour Khorrami

Nour is an Orange County native that received her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2019. Having an interest in medicine and communication, she has decided to pursue a career in Speech and Language Pathology. Outside of work, Nour enjoys hiking, yoga, and trying new restaurants.
